Mission

Camas Connect Academy’s mission is to see and serve remote learners in the Camas area through rigorous and engaging content that will prepare them for an ever-changing world.

About CCA

Camas Connect Academy is a fully remote Alternative Learning Experience (ALE) school in the Camas School District that offers a range of engaging, flexible, and rigorous educational experiences.  We offer multiple ways to connect with our instructional team through live sessions, one-on-one tutoring, small group sessions, on-demand coursework, office hours, field trips, activity days, and drop-in support.  CCA curriculum is a blend of the Camas School District curriculum, teacher-created curriculum, and quality online providers.  Our goal is to see and serve digital learners in the Camas area through rigorous and engaging content that prepares them for an ever-changing world.

We first opened our doors in the 2020 school year in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, but our journey does not stop there.  Camas School District believes in providing quality choice options for families and has a long-term vested interest in Camas Connect Academy beyond the impact of COVID-19.  The world changed during the pandemic and many families realized that online learning fits their lifestyle or worked really well for their students.  Camas Connect Academy will be around for a long time to come to see and serve digital learners!

In 2020, Camas Connect Academy student AlyssaWong designed our logo, and Camas High School Graduate Aaron Baldwin made the first digital versions.  Our mascot is now the owl, which we love!  During the 2021-2022 school year, CCA student Anela Titcomb helped us define that being an O.W.L. is to be Optimistic, Wise, and Loyal.

WE ARE OWLS, AND WE ARE MORE THAN COMPUTERS!
