Character Lessons:

Teaching Character is essential to assist students with reaching their academic potential and experiencing success in life and school. Character lessons help students become engaged, responsible and productive citizens. Each month, Lacamas focuses on an identified character trait to emphasize and promote a positive school climate, decision-making strategies, mindfulness, growth mindset, and positive behavior. During each month, teachers use Literature, Art, class lessons, and various learning opportunities to focus on the month’s character traits. Through our teaching, we strive to build relationships and create a class environment that provides learning around being a contributing member of our community and world.
